Terms
These terms apply to a findings report, a re-scan and annual monitoring from Handrail Audit, a sole proprietorship at 3108 Glendale Blvd #105, Los Angeles, CA 90039, Los Angeles County fictitious business name 2026177381. When you pay the first half, you accept them.
The price
You send the address of your website. Within one business day we send a fixed price and the list of pages it covers. The price is $150 for a page and $50 for a light page, and it does not change after the work starts. The price holds for 30 days.
The two payments
You pay half of the price to start the work, by the method on the invoice. The work starts on the business day after the payment arrives. You pay the other half within seven days of delivery of the report.
Delivery
The report is delivered within five business days of the start, as a web page and as a tagged PDF, to the email address you gave. A 30-minute meeting to go through it is included, at a time we agree by email. If we cannot deliver within five business days, we tell you before the fifth day and you can cancel for a full return of the first payment.
What the report is
The report is a statement of what was tested and what was found on the listed pages, on the dates tested, against WCAG 2.1 Level A and Level AA. Every finding was confirmed by a person. The report does not correct a website. It is not legal advice, and it does not express an opinion on a legal obligation. We make no promise about a legal result, a demand letter, or a lawsuit. If the report finds no Level A and no Level AA failure on the pages in scope, we return the fee.
The re-scan
Within twelve months of the report, we test the same pages again for half the first price. The re-scan report marks each finding corrected or not corrected, with the same evidence. Pages added since the report are priced as new pages.
Annual monitoring
Annual monitoring is $3,000 for one year, billed at the start of the year. Each quarter we test the same pages again and send a short report of what changed. It is one year at a time, and it does not renew unless you ask.
Cancellation
If you cancel before the work starts, we return the first payment in full. If you cancel after the work starts, we keep the first payment and deliver the report.
Access
We test the public pages of your website. A login is not necessary. If a page in the scope needs a login, we say so and we agree with you how to test it, or we take it out of the scope and the price.
Confidentiality
We do not publish your name, your website address, or your findings. Screenshots of your pages appear in your report only. We can say how many clients we have.
Ownership
The report is yours. You can give it to your developer, your supplier, your insurer and your attorney. The method and the words that describe it stay ours.
Liability
Our liability to you for a report, a re-scan or monitoring is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for a demand letter, a lawsuit, a settlement, or the cost of corrections.
Law
These terms follow the law of the State of California. If we disagree, we write to each other first. A dispute that is not settled by email goes to the courts of Los Angeles County.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. The terms that apply to your report are the ones in effect on the day you paid the first half.
